Registrato @ JingleTown Studios di Oakland e prodotto da Robb Flynn, "Unto The Locust" amplia quanto visto in "The Blackening" fino a sondare territori finora inesplorati. Il tutto in puro stile MACHINE HEAD!
Il mix, inixialmente affidato a Colin Richardson (Bullet For My Valentine, SLIPKNOT, TRIVIUM, Fear Factory), è stato portato a termine da Flynn e da Juan Urteaga (Testament, Exodus, Night Ranger). Richardson è stato costrettio a lasciare lo studio prima della fine dei lavori per ragioni personali.
